The story of the Garden of Eden and the  tragedy that is reputed to have occurred there didn't just happen once, whether one believes it is literal or not, rather it seems to replay and retell and resell  itself over and over again throughout our lives through spoiled relationships and botched opportunities, as if  in confirmation of the fact that it's in our genes and in the genes of the whole human race. The harder we try to make it right the worse it gets. It can't be corrected by our most serious efforts and most brilliant strategies. What we need is a new heredity, a new set of genes.
