WHERE THERE'S SMOKE, THERE'S FIRE

Human nature is still the same
Control is now the game
Pointing the finger to Look around
Up and down the town

Where there's smoke, there's fire
Is there one for hire
Don't get caught in the mire
While singing in the choir


Out the window watch it go
Our earned money they throw
These talents they will bestow
No room for trophies you know

Honest figures never will align
Achievements they fail to find
Was it by innocent design
Or not to give peace of mind

Mistruths are no object here
Just to help forward a career
To the highest bid they cheer
Ability never overcomes austere

If only the powers would forgo
All their selfish wrongful cargo
By remembering yesterday’s gusto
And all freedoms good old tempo

Yes, with smoke comes the fire
Back to our liberties we desire
In God we shall always trust
His eternal promises is a must

You've probably heard of the old cliché ", Where there's smoke, there's fire".  This new age society tends to overlook the fact, "If it looks like something is wrong, something probably is wrong". You see, the new modern philosophy now being embraced is, "It's always the other fellow’s fault". Always thinking the worse rather than the best.

So, how does this new opinionated mindset relate to today's dedicated policeman? Why does today’s world have so much distrust for law enforcement?

Let me just reinforce the fact that basic policing has not really changed that much. Human nature is still human nature. Laws are still laws. Disobedience is still disobedience. Crime is still crime. Enforcement is still enforcement. Only people have changed. Wow, have they ever? Just ask the COP on the street corner?

Yes, plenty of fires to put out, plenty associated smoke, these days. Simply turn the police loose to do their jobs, their sworn duties. And, guess what, the fires will be put out in short order. Amen!
