Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. John 4:46-47 NIV

This man was most likely a member of the royal court of the king. Being a member of high class or famous or wealthy does not free one though from illness nor death. We all have a need within us to approach Christ, begging for mercy and help. We are all sinners and fall short due to sinfulness. We all need a Savior whether we are rich or poor, famous or not. Christ waits for each of us to come to Him. Anyone seeking Him with a sincere heart shall not be turned away. Seek the Lord and His mercy! He is your Savior!

Amen. The saying is true; the ground is level at the foot of the cross. We are all in need of God's mercy and grace.
