We can see nothing but blinding light looking directly into the sun, and yet some were alleged to have done just that under the influence of a particular drug years ago. But we were never meant to look directly into the light of the sun, instead we were meant to see all things in and by the light of the sun. The sunlight is what gives the various colors to the details of our surroundings. They have no color in themselves but acquire color according to what sun rays they reflect. So it is with the S-O-N. We cannot see the Son of God directly while on earth but we can see all people and things and situations in the light of the Son. That is what gives it all color and beauty. To see someone else and to see ourselves in His light is to see God's image stamped on each person and to see each as being valuable enough for Jesus to sacrifice His life for that one.
