Renewing Your Youth

who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth renewed like the eagles. (Psalms 103:5).

The act of aging is not normality but abnormal. The standard process is renewed youth. The strength of flesh is its youth.

In a cynical world, to lose strength as we grow older, has become our default. We have the mindset that says as we get older, we lose our youth.

Understand what I am saying, being youthful and growing old are two different functions. In our thinking and lifestyle, we have made the two to work together; we think to become older means we get weaker. But that is not the way it works.

Have you considered Noah? When God told Noah to build the ark, Noah was over six hundred years old. None the less, at the age of better than six hundred years, Noah, had the strength to build the ark.

By the Spirit of God, the Psalmist says that your strength is renewed like the eagle. The Hebrew word translated 'eagle, but the word speaks of any large bird.

The endangered Ruppell's griffon vulture is the highest flying bird ever recorded, and it can ascend to heights of 37,000 feet. That's the average height at which a commercial airplane travels.

The giant bird reaches these heights by soaring and not flying. There's a difference in soaring and flying. To soar is to rise swiftly, to feel the wind slipping below you as you ride it higher, higher, and higher.

The birds use the upward winds to lift them higher and higher into the sky. Soaring also helps the bird rest and regain his strength to fly for a longer distance before stopping. The fact is that the bird knows how to renew his strength.

The Ruppell's griffon vulture has indeed been sucked into a jet engine at 37,000 feet.

The thought we want to carry with us is that the giant bird knows-how to remain fresh while in flight. The bird knows how to keep the energy flowing. We are told that we will renew our youth as eagles or any large bird that soars.

To learn how to rest or remain rested is essential to defeating aging. What I'm I saying? I am saying that in God, it is possible to live without aging. And you may not be super spiritual, but if you learn to practice a particular way of living, you can slow down the aging process. God made it so that anyone can live life at a certain level of quality. And it's quite simple.

This message is for all, but if you are black American, I want you to give close attention to what I am going to say. Because during the CoronaVirus pandemic, we are told that more blacks are dying than any other group of people. We are led to believe it's because of the virus.

Fill Your Mouth with Good Things

Notice what it says in verse five of Psalms one hundred and three.

who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth renewed like the eagles. (Psalms 103:5).

The Greek word translated 'satisfies' is a word that means to fill full or the state of being satisfied. It is the state of being satisfied with good things. When we are satisfied, we will not look at anything else; we don't need anything else.

Taste buds are sensory organs that are found on your tongue. The taste buds allow you to experience flavors that are sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. What I just said is a fact, but it's not the way we want to go.

To eat, according to sweet, salty, sour, and bitter, is to be trained to eat for pleasure. It is also to surrender the control of our soul to the will of our tongue. It is the tongue that controls the members of the body.

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body."NASB: "For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. {James 3:2},

Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. (James 3:3).

The tongue of flesh becomes our master when we are led by our tastebuds. Because the tongue is untamed and cannot be tamed by men, they are out of control who are guided by the tongue.

When the mouth or tongue is in the state of being satisfied with good things, the excellent stuff breaks the power of tongue over us. In other words, there will no longer be the cravings for what's not right. There is a reason why good stuff does not taste good to us. We were not designed to operate by what our food tastes like. Natural Food is the medicine of all flesh.

Death and Life

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Proverbs 18:21)

The word translated 'power' is the Hebrew word that means 'the hand' and rightfully so. For the tongue is the hand that distributes to the whole body. Whether spiritually or physically, what your body receives as nourishment it receives from the hand of the mouth, which is the tongue.

Thus, death and life are in the hand of the mouth. And if you love what's in the hand of the mouth. And if you have affection for the state of the hand of your mouth.

And if the state of the existence of your hand is death, the activity of death is what will be active in your flesh.

However, if the state of the existence of your tongue is life, the activity of life is what will be active in your flesh.

Not by Bread Alone

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4).

The natural bread that we eat is not the giver of life. If natural food gave life when we eat it, we would hunger no more. Hunger pain is a message sent from the body, letting us know that there is a lack of satisfaction. Hunger lets us know that something is wrong with our flesh. Natural food is medicine but not a cure. Nature food is to serve until we partake in the real course. The actual course is the word of God, which is the medicine that cures all our flesh. We will talk about that in the next article.

Dissatisfaction is what it is like to be in a state of dying. The natural body is in a state of dying. Only the bread of life can rid us of our hunger forever.

Natural food is a temporary fix with a recurrence of hunger. Thus the food is a medicine for the natural man. When we eat food, we are eating our medicine.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35).

Jesus is the word of God personified; Jesus is the word of God made flesh.

The medicine we eat can bring death or life. The food we eat will bring life or death. Death and life is an action; it's a way of doing things. Both death and life have awareness and experience. Never think that what you eat does not matter. Your mood and the state of your mind are influenced by what you put in your mouth.

Let's go further than that by saying what you eat is what you become. The food we eat feeds every part of our physical being, including the brain. The brain, as a member of the human body, needs to eat like all the other parts.

What determines the pace of your aging is what you are eating. What makes this so? It is this way because your quality of rest determines the renewing of your youth. And it is what we eat that determines our quality of rest. If we don't receive the proper rest, our physical appearance ages faster.

who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth renewed like the eagles. (Psalms 103:5).

When the hand of our mouth is satisfied not because the food is sweet, salty, bitter, or sour, but because the food is good for us when we eat, we renew our youth.

Do you remember the story of Eve and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? The knowledge of the tree was appealing to her sensory organs found in the knowledge of perception; she saw that the tree was good for food. The good that she perceives was of human standards and brought death.

So many of us do not know the energy that we should be experiencing because we never rest. We can sleep all night and not rest. If we get off the wrong foods and eat good food for a season, we will experience a surge of incredible energy. We are always tired due to what we put into the hand of the mouth.

Some people live their whole life and never experience genuine rest. They go to sleep tired, and they wake up tired. Their physical appearance is that of an aged person; they look a lot older than they are.

What I just said should not be part of our vocabulary, because aging and getting older are two different functions. There is no such thing as looking your age.

The year of Two thousand twenty is not the first year that more black people were deceasing in more significant numbers. It was this way in two thousand nineteen and the year before.

They said that when checking all the blacks that are marked as having died of the virus, they all had one thing in common, the lack of vitamin D.

Eating the wrong foods depletes the body of essential vitamins and nutrients. When we are older with a broken-down immune system, we become vulnerable to diseases.

What are the one thing that we, as black people in America, have in common? The answer is diet. Come now, let's face it, we have a poor diet. We eat unhealthily.

When I was a child, the excuse was that we were poor and could not afford the better foods; some ways that may be the way it was. But somehow that needs to change. Do you not know that right now, you purchase vegetables at a less expense than meats? This is real talk, certain foods medicine for the flesh.

The foods we like and enjoy are not suitable for us. I had a young black lady who said the other day; I do not like vegetables. After saying this, she began to justify the reason for reporting it.

How many are on high blood pressure and diabetic medication and dying because of complication when both are entirely reversible with a change of diet, rest, and exercise. I remember when an older friend of mine dyed of diabetic complications when all he need was to change his diet, exercise, and rest. When we eat the right foods, proper rest will follow.

I recently read a testimony by a lady who said she completely reverse MS by eating nine bowls of vegetables per day. But that is nasty; I cannot do that.

Someone said it best when they said, eat your food as your medicine or eat your medicine as your food.
