If you just can’t seem to understand or see “why”,
It’s time that you open up your spiritual eye.
If you can’t see why my finances are in a royal mess,
But I don’t seem to be under stress,
It’s time that you open up your spiritual eye
To see that it’s a trick for Satan to deny
Me the blessings that God has in store,
Which is financial prosperity and so much more.
If you can’t see why I stay on my job when I’m treated so bad,
And my co-workers work overtime trying to make me feel sad,
It’s time that you open up your spiritual eye
To see that I don’t receive my reward here, but beyond the sky.
If you can’t see why I’m faithful in loving my mate
When his heart seems to be filled with deceit and hate,
It’s time that you open up your spiritual eye
To see that with God’s command I must comply
To love those who spitefully misuse and abuse me;
For, that’s the only way I can see eternity.
If you can’t see why I don’t face my sickness with complaints and gripes,
My spiritual eye shows me that I’m healed by Jesus’ stripes.
If you just can’t seem to understand or see why,
It’s time that you open up your spiritual eye
To see exactly where God is trying to take you
With every aspect of your life and all that you go through.
