Good News (Day two)
According to the dictionary, good news defined as Something or someone pleasant, fortunate, or otherwise positive.
In the Bible, the good news is any information concern-ing Christ and God's salvation. In Romans 1:16, we read.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16).
God has bestowed on us an irreversible blessing. God blessed us by speaking well of us. God's word will not change. God is one with his word.
For I am the Lord, and I change not. If God doesn't change, his word will not change. Let's take a look at what has taken place as a result of God speaking well of us.
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (Ephesians 1:4).
It says according to; According to what? According to what God spoke concerning you. According to the spoken blessing bestowed on you, God has chosen you.
Not according to your performance. Not according to your good deads. Not according to the social status of your parents. But according to what God said concerning you, you are chosen.
God chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world. Before there was a world, God had already made his decision concerning you. The God who knows all things, the good, bad, and the ugly, in his foreknowledge, chose you. God chose you while you were yet a sinner.
But God commendeth (proved) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Ro-mans 5:8).
Before any tangible or apparent change in your awareness and experience, God chose you.
God chose you to be holy and with blame before him, and he did it because he loves you. Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
You will never be any more holy than you are right now. Look, your life is in Christ. God is not holding anything against you. Right now, you stand before God with-out blame.
There is no fault in you. No one can hold you countable before God. God has made you complete, and you do not lack anything.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (1 Timothy 3:16).
God' took our sins upon himself, and because he walked in human flesh without error, God took full responsibility for our sin; The Bible teaches that God made to be the sin. God became sin without doing any wrong. Then as the sin offering, God died to the error in the flesh. Through his death, justice is satisfied.
It is through the power of his resurrection that we are made free from all written against us. God's acquittal is your acquittal. In God, you are free. In Christ Jesus, God presented us before himself without blame. There is no blame, and if there is no blame, there is no sin. In Christ, God removed the error from us.
And now, at this moment, we are seated at the right hand of God in Christ Jesus. It Is Finished!!
