From the beginning of his ministry, the Baptist made it quite clear that he was not the Messiah. He came to prepare the way for the Messiah.
When we share the Good News of Jesus Christ, we must make sure that all understand that the focus is to be on the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We are only the messenger, sent by the Messiah to share the word. That which we are given to speak is to be spirit led and not of self. We share the Word and leave the winning of souls in the hands of Christ himself. We can rejoice with Him in the coming of lost souls to Him, but the glory totally belongs to Him. We are the vessel being used by the Master. Stay humble and share the Good News!
