God's ability is not limited by our inability

Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that WILL be revealed in us.

Gain through loss is something I have experienced abundantly over the past few years. It seems that while going through the valleys I began to focus on what lies behind, forgetting Lots wife. Past mistakes and should have been’s controlled my attitude, ultimately affecting my peace and joy. I had placed value on my worldly possession, my grip on these items was tight, yet we are taught to hold onto ALL THINGS loosely, letting God go where He pleases.

Everything lost as a possession is lost to NOTHING but to loose faith is to loose everything.

I have learned that the most dangerous attitude I can have is; Well, I am doing alright. I begin to do less than my best. I become comfortable with the way my life is, allowing me to NOT press on, NOT seek God’s will for my life. Becoming comfortable with our current situation is to become comfortable with being a
“LUKE-WARM” Christian. Soon, I began to make little compromises! Let me tell you that LITTLE COMPROMISES brings BIG CONSENQUENCES! Watching a movie that I would not have watched before, speaking words in anger and bitterness that I would not have before. Worldly association and success became a center point of my life, God soon became second. The world offered IMMEDIATE comfort to my trials and hurts. The pain seemed justified looking through their eyes and I wanted to feel justified. It is true what they say, “Hurting people hurt people”.

I am so thankful to God that He refused to allow me to become pitiful, instead He placed before me a road. You see there I was walking down the middle of the road, keeping plenty of room on BOTH sides of me for comfort. When things went good.. I was walking closer to the side with God and when I faced trials, I would lean towards the other side of the road looking for the world to help solve my problem. I had become a wimpy, weak, watered down Christian who needed to stand up and make a decision.

God has allowed me to be pitiful to become powerful. We are all trophies of God’s grace. My trials and sufferings has brought me peace, patience and taught me to always press on! What ever you are facing, God has the answer. For every person who has hurt you, God has ten more that will help you. Learning to trust in God through all our circumstances is the most important thing we can learn. Jesus died for us for a reason; we can do what is right even when we do not feel like it.

Where are you walking? Are you in the middle of the road? Times get tough and often our vision becomes clouded. I a
dmit mine did, BUT if I can spare even one person from walking down the middle of the road, then in living through it, I have made a difference.

Thank You Lord for always walking beside me down the road of life.
