How wonderful it must have been for the twelve men Christ had chosen as His disciples to have some time with Him in the countryside. How precious this time must have been. There was so much work that lay ahead to do, so just to have some “quiet” time together had to have been a treat.
Where is your countryside for some precious quiet time with the Lord? Certainly we can pray and ask for help during our busy day, but we need to give some of the valuable quiet time to the Lord, time for our mind to be still and for our heart and soul to be attentive to His quiet inescapable voice to call to us. Let yourself be surrounded by Him in all His glory and holiness. Listen and He will speak to you!
