‘“Now my soul is troubled. And what should I say – ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it is for this reason that I have come to this hour.”’ John 12:27
There is a reason God allows us to go through trials. Just as He allowed Jesus to go through His own time of suffering. We may want to flee – take flight ad escape elsewhere. But how will God be glorified if we back down and take the easier road? It is so God might be glorified that He has brought us to this place.
This is our moment of truth. Under pressure who we really are and what we really believe will be revealed. God knows that we will be found in this trying time. And He wants to see if our response will give glory to Him. Will we stand strong? Can we depend upon the Holy Spirit? We will fall in our own strength. Will we praise Him in our heart despite our circumstances? Will our words continue to declare that God is good and that He will provide our needs, even when the situation looks hopeless? Can we keep our eyes lifted to Jesus and our hearts assured of His promises?
If so, God will be glorified. This season of struggle will pass and we will ‘walk through the fire without being burned and the flames will not consume us’ (Isaiah 43:26). We have been created for times such as this. Because we are precious to our Savior, deeply loved by our Father, and empowered by His Spirit, we are fully able to glorify God no matter what, as we ask for His help each day.
'Father, thank you that despite the difficulties I face today, you will show me how to bring glory to your name. Amen.'

This truly is our test, our amazing moment to bring glory unto Him through our steadfast example of faith, or to turn away and dwell upon what everyone fears, a lesser moment in which most get depressed. Your writing has the ability to get people to their feet. Well done, Jennifer.
