Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior's hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates (Psalm 127:4-5).

Before the covid-19 pandemic, I usually spent my time watching the TV series on Netflix. One of my favorites was the American television series "Arrow" and the 2007 Korean TV Drama series "Jumong". The master archer!

The word "arrow" is equally meaningful. Imagine the scene of "Jumong" on the battlefield. He doesn't stop to make his arrows, nor does he ignore them. He uses them. He directs them toward a target. Likewise, as parents, we are responsible for the direction of our children. These arrows are incapable of directing itself to the target without a bowman.

Children are precious blessings from God, but without the proper guidance from the Word of God, these children will bring shame to their parents (Proverbs 29:15). Thus, train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Always remember, each child is like an arrow to cherished, aim directed to the right target.
