In the beginning of the worldwide spread of the Corona Virus, someone wondered what people with a drug abuse problem would do. Well, organizations that help people conquer the voluntary slavery of drug addiction have ramped up efforts on the web. United Recovery Movement, for example, started having live meetings most everyday! Other organizations in what has become a network have teamed up to participate in the meetings and have promoted them.

People, some from various organizations, have chimed in with their Godly comments and wisdom on Facebook.Christians have been using social media to send messages to edify people.

Churches, which have been closed, have been using the Internet to reach out to those who are somewhat shut in. Church services and recovery meetings go hand in hand, working in tandem to, as is the motto of my church, Oxford Valley Chapel in Levittown, PA, help rescue lives and restore relationships. I recently heard a wonderful sermon online by my pastor, who preached that the resurrection -what Easter is really about - is the epitome of the Christian faith. Knowing that Jesus died for our sins and overcame death after He rose from the grave is something to really get egg cited about. It's not about the bunny and eggs!

This so-called crisis has brought about good. For example, I recently read in an online local newspaper that one family, instead of watching sports on Easter, watched a movie about Jesus! As Christians, we need to be joyful and show the love of Christ and that we have hope, no matter what the circumstances. When two or more gather in His name, this glorifies God and edifies people. God created us to live in community to grow in His name together and become more like Jesus. "Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ" -Ephesians 4: 11,12
