We can't quite clearly see God's love from what God has created any more than we can see the entire ocean in a seashell. The seashell when held close enough to the ear whispers of the vast ocean from which it came the way the creation gives hints of God's goodness and whispers to us faintly and inarticulately of God's love.. But the cross upon which Jesus died for us shouts chillingly clear and even literally to us of the love of God. In his last moment Christ cried out poignantly saying, "It is finished! " He was referring not only to the sacrifice of himself on our behalf, but also to the journey he had completed to the full extent and final degree of his love for us. John 13 v 1 He gave all that he had and all that he was. He paid an incalculable price for the salvation of our souls, though it was free for us, and he did it out of the utter depths of his love for us His people.
