Freedom Over Fear

2 Corinthians:3:17 – “ Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”.

John:8:36 -“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed”.

As I sat down to pray and asked God to speak to me on how I can be encouraged and encourage others too during this Coronavirus situation , I saw a picture of “bright red Cherries” and the next word that came to my mind was “Cherry Blossoms”. I looked up online for the meaning and it said ” Rebirth, Regeneration or Renewal”.

In this current situation we are in, there’s so much fear, panic, frustration and other emotions.  But we have an answer to all those emotions and feelings. The answer is “JESUS”. In Him we find freedom, joy, peace and tranquility. When we look to Him and ask Him or pray a simple prayer like ” Jesus , take away this fear, panic and every emotion that disturbs me and replace it with Your Freedom, Joy and Peace” . He will for sure answer you. It’s like a prayer of ” Newness in God”.  He breaks off the Old and makes everything New. I heard this song today from ” Elevation Worship  – All Things New” and felt like this song was being highlighted to me. He extracts what doesnt belong in us and replaces it with His best. And you wont believe this, I have a wall hanging of the Verse 2 Corinthians:5:17 – “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things are new.”  I walk past that wall hanging all the time and never did it strike me like it did today. I felt the Lord highlited that verse to me “All things New”.

We can take this time as an opputunity to encourage one another and most of all spend time with God. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Therefore, There’s no need to fear. Perfect Love of God casts out all Fear”.

Dear Abba Father in heaven,

Thank You for the life that you have given us and for protecting us. Lord, even during this time with all that’s happening with the Virus Outbreak, would You take control of us and be with us. Remove the Fear and every emotion that doesn’t in our system and give us Your freedom, joy and peace. As we go to bed every night, give us a good rest. In Jesus name. Amen.
