Author requests article critique

Jesus saves and I am proof
I used to be so lost
I lived a life of sin and tears
That came at such a cost
It seemed in life I had no hope
Was nothing I could do
Believed in lies that tore me down
But none of them were true
But then one day I bowed my head
Got on my knees to pray
I asked for Christ to save my soul
And I was saved that day
My life’s now filled with hope and joy
And love is all around
I owe it all to Jesus Christ
This love that I have found
