Starting every day and every endeavor on the following solidly correct foundation, I can rise higher and see farther, and feel secure doing so. Thanking You for waking me, for my very next breath, for the fact that I am alive at all and still alive, thanking You for the day, for the opportunities before me, and for the privilege of knowing and relating to those you've placed in my life. Much of the disappointment and frustration we experience daily has to be because we have not ventured forth on the proper foundation.
May I bring Your mind, Your heart, Your humble attitude to the people and situations that I encounter, and join You there in the sacred specific work you are doing. May I see past the surface with Your eyes into the hearts and real intent of those with whom I am involved.
I am alive because You want me to be and I want to be not just because I happen to be. I choose to walk this path You have stretched before me not as a path I have to walk but as one I get to walk. I am gratefully and deliberately alive in Your all wise and loving purpose for my life.

The storm winds and pounding rain that can doom a weak foundation are not so much some huge catastrophe to come,( though they can easily apply to such an event, )  as they are associated with those nagging, persistent  challenges fhat assail and beset us daily and tend to bump us out of the life in the Spirit.
