Trusting God requires Absolute Surrender

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways submit (surrender, yield) to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”  Psalm 37:4-6

Trusting God in a world that openly displays evil where this often becomes the 'norm' in a culture that accepts it is when we dig deeper into daily devotion and consecrated holiness.

When we as the 'church' do not give way and assimilate our own habits according to societal standards, we become the distinct sons and daughters of the royal priesthood becoming God's kingdom people.

Promoting the good in a world gone cold draws us nearer in relying on our source of life, Jesus, whose life we are lights shining in the darkness.

We interact with people who succumb to this evil, giving their minds and hearts to a lifestyle of deception, lies, and schemes that target the destruction of others.

It will require godly wisdom and discernment when interacting with others to be aware of the wolves, to be sensitive when around others to not give our hearts as an open book and to guard the precious sanctity of the life of Christ within us as the only power in whom we go to in all times.

Prayer is our weapon of choice to tear down strongholds, lies, darkness, and the wiles of the enemy. God is the Holy One whose power is a divine intervention of a supernatural nature that raises up an army of warriors to intercede on behalf of those who become targets of this evil --- personified in humans.

When we gather with those who are likeminded in united vision in prayer, God is the entity and the Holy One who releases all the resources of heaven to begin to work on our behalf and on behalf of those we intercede and pray for.

When we enter into the Spirit of God whose life is embedded into our human frame and discern His desires and His heart, we are united with this divine supernatural being who grants grace for every minute of every hour of every day.

We know who has won overall principalities, all forces of evil, and all the dark powers who seek to destroy this precious life within us. He is a person and His name is Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the One who is ALL Power, ALL sufficient, ALL knowing, ALL supreme, and will bring His intentions and plans to fruition.

There is no one, no force, and no power who can thwart God's purposes. What God has decreed will not change and will not be modified and will not be compromised. What God has said will not change as He is love, truth, and light.

No matter the struggles, no matter the difficulties, no matter what things appear, Jesus is the source of all we need at the moment, and our surrender to Him is our devotion. No matter what comes against us and no matter what darkness comes at us or at those we pray for, we know Jesus has already won the victory, and He gifts abundant grace for us to remain abiding in Him.

Things do not always have a happy ending or are resolved as we would want, and this is where Trust in His sovereign will becomes our way, our truth, and our life.

God's plans purposes and will go forward regardless of the outcome, and regardless of results, we may desire.

Trusting God in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad times in stress and in calm ---- is the lifestyle of kingdom sons and daughters.

 Trusting God in a world becoming increasingly dark is our expected end, and His life in us is our sole source of sufficiency in every moment we are gifted life.

Trusting God requires He becomes preeminent in every area of my being over (relationships, finances, career choices, service, family, church).

• Trusting God becomes an intentional choice.


• Trusting God requires obedience to His truths --- (regardless of emotions --- regardless of circumstances --- irrespective of what I want as a result).


• Trusting God requires I abandon all I know, all I believe and all of who I think I am.


• Trusting God requires ceasing from what my flesh is inclined to want to do.


• Trusting God requires I continue to allow His life (holy responses, holy thoughts, sacred ways, spiritual desires) to pass through mine.


• Trusting God requires absolute surrender -- moment by moment -- to His life as my life.
