Broken crayons
Can still colour a page
Broken crayons
Can still add life to a picture.

Broken crayons
Can still draw new lines
In the new day and year
An outline strong and clear.

Broken crayons
Come in varied catching colours
It is like a rainbow holding the colours
Of past, present and to come.

Broken crayons
Can still stutter with grace
Like leaves forever moving in a tree
Waving it’s memory dance of years.

Broken crayons
Can still bring joy and hope
From the pieces of its heart
It will add happiness to the lives of others.

Broken crayons
Can still lift the soul
Like a gentle touch on the shoulder
To give the cuddly warmth of a lifetime.

Broken crayons
Can still belong and be there
Like a forever anointed one
To keep colouring as long as it is there.

Broken crayons
Can add that intimate colour
To make rosy our days and moments
In par with a brush that can paint our joyful tears.

Broken crayons
Are forever in a thankful state
That nothing can be hurt and harmed
As long as the Creator keeps it saved and sound.

Broken crayons
Maybe broken from the outside
Crushed from the inside
But will still perform and colour the world.

Broken crayons
May never feel entire or whole
But it can still be fixed and be there
To the Box that holds its life span.

Broken crayons
Add meaning to a story depicted in ages
It will point to times and seasons
With colours to complement and compliment.

Broken crayons
Are still a favourite treasure
A never parting gift for some
As long as the crayons can add colour
It will fill the blank gaps with a smile of its own.
