Resolution repetition…

It’s that New Year’s resolution you just made.

It’s the same resolution you make every year; you are determined to lose weight.

Ouch!

Sad isn’t it? It is so easy to put on weight. Yet, it is very hard to take it off and harder still to keep it off.

Don’t give up; maybe we’ve failed but that doesn’t mean we’re failures.

We can succeed. We must rid ourselves of the deadliest weight; the weight of sin.

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV).” 

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father. We need to rise; let’s keep running.The physical exercise of running helps shed the extra weight. Running in His restoration race keeps us growing in His likeness.

That fulfills the will of the Father.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8:28-29 NKJV).”
