The heart only seems to soften a layer at a time, before we are faced with some new level of our hardheartedness of which we had been totally unaware.
Though hardheartednes is not the same as hardheadedness, they are certainly related. What I am about to say may shed some light on that relationship.
  A mindset is a formidable thing, and not easily changed. It is what we are deeply convinced of inwardly in our lives. Some may call it a stronghold. In fact what I mean by mindset may be impossible to change apart from the moving of the Spirit of God, who is well acquainted with those depths of soul and knows how to operate there, like a deep sea diver diving for miracles.
