Universal or Isolated?

The Book of Revelation Is the revealing of Jesus Christ and His message to all of mankind in reference to the judgement and destruction to befall the earth, and on those whom have  rejected God and His offer of redemption for our sins, ending the utter wickedness and depravity of the inhabitants of this tiny rock in God’s infinite universe.

There are those claiming the book of Revelation to be a fictitious fearmongering book written by a deranged individual probably on a bad acid trip, or that the book is not a God inspired writing and should therefore not even be a part of the Holy Bible. Pastors and teachers avoid the book, mostly due to a misunderstanding of the structure and importance  of the message it relays.

In spite of the various reasoning behind the rejection of this book, a careful study of the books of Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos, and the book of Daniel as well as the first three verses of Revelation 1, which tells us the meaning of the book and what its intentions are, should open, and reveal new truths to the closed minds of man, as to his perception of this book. It will also reveal the warnings and meaning behind the various symbolisms associated with the visions shown to John while a prisoner on the isle of Patmos.

I will not delve into the various aspects of the seven churches, the seven seals or the seven trumpets, but only on the seven plagues which Jesus said would be the culmination of the battle between good and evil, as God brings a stunning end to Satan’s reign over this world, resulting in judgement on those who have rejected the Father and the Son.

Lets first read the scripture concerning the first plague, Rev 16:1-2.

Rev.16:1-2   1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Here the 1^st angel is pouring out the 1^st  plague, and notice what this verse is saying, and to whom the plague is affecting.

1        It is poured out upon the entire Earth, being universal in scope, not in an isolated area.

2         It is directed to those which have the mark of the beast, in other words it is directed to a particular group of people.

3        It is also affecting those who worship the “IMAGE OF THE BEAST”. Again, at a specific group.

These first two verses indicate this to be a world-wide event of great magnitude, not an isolated or localized incident.

This 1^st plague is the beginning of the wrath of God on the unrepentant inhabitants of this planet, and at this point God’s people have been sealed and are being protected from these plagues, just as God protected the Hebrews from the plagues He sent upon the Egyptians.

The 1^st verse tells us, the plague will fall on the earth, an indication of worldwide, not localized, as some maintain.

The second verse says it will fall on those men which have the “MARK OF THE BEAST”, and I believe, as others do, the mark of the beast being Sunday worship; a day of worship as changed, and promulgated by the Catholic Church, an act of which they highly boast of, as changing from Saturday to Sunday, as the day of worship, mocking the protestants and the whole  world, as they blindly follow suit of this “Whore of Babylon”.

The masses have followed this change of Gods law for the past 1500 years, and it has now become so ingrained in the protestant churches tradition that they refuse to accept the true day of worship as being God’s  7^th day Sabbath. Those refusing to accept God’s original 7^th day Sabbath as the day of worship, and instead keep Sunday as the day of worship, will be considered to have the mark of the beast. I would venture to say that roughly 90% of the Earth’s population will fall under this description as some worship on Fridays and others on Sunday, and others don’t worship at all. Here is a direct quote from the Catholic Church as to their “MARK OF AUTHORITY”, You be the judge. 

Sunday is our MARK of authority… The Church is above the Bible, and the transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact….Catholic Record, September 1, 1923 (Ontario)

Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days?” “Answer:By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of, and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church.” Daniel Ferres, ed., Manual of Christian Doctrine (1916), p.67. 

The second part of verse 2 says “and those who worship the image of the beast”. Now who are those which worship the image of the beast?

The Catholic Church and their Popes, ran roughshod over the 7^th day Sabbath keeping Christians for over 1500 years, eliminating any and all who  refused to adhere to the unbiblical, idol worshipping and false teachings the Catholic Church forced on the people under fear of torture, imprisonment, and death by burning at the stake. A conservative estimate puts the death toll at the hands of the Catholic Church during this period of time at 50,000,000 souls.

 A vast number of rituals, festivals, holidays idol worshipping, and other pagan practices were attained from the Catholic Church after the reformation of the middle ages and have survived within the churches until this day, as the Christian churches continue to adhere to these false paganistic practices, which are not Biblical, and, some can be considered blasphemous.

That my friend, means in essence that all these Christian Churches, which maintain the practices of the Roman Catholic Religion, are the ones which verse 2 refers to as, “Worshiping the image of the beast”. These practices are an image of the beast.

Now let’s look at some scriptures which tend to back up the fact that these plagues will be universal and not localized.

The first is Ezekiel 9:3-6

This is a vision shown to Ezekiel of the end times judgement of the wicked and unrighteous who have rejected the offer of salvation.

Ezekiel 9:3-6  3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;  4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: 6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house

Now look at Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Now let’s look at Rev.7:2-4, Rev.15:8

Rev.7:2-4  And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Rev. 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

We also see in Ezekiel 9:4, and Rev.7:2-4, a command to mark God’s people with a mark.

In Ezekiel the 1^st verse, we see the glory of God has gone up, and moved to the door, we also see in Daniel 12:1 that Michael (Jesus) has stood up, and in Rev.15:8 we see the temple is filled with smoke from the glory of God and the temple is emptied until the 7 plagues are completed.

We see in the 4^th verse of Ezekiel 9 that God has given the command to mark all those who follow Him, and in Rev.7:2-4 we again see men being sealed with Gods mark.

The verses of scripture from Ezekiel, Daniel, and Rev. appear to be speaking of the same events. Michael Stands up and His people are delivered, God rises from beneath the Cherub and commands a mark to be put on His people, and the remainder to be destroyed.

In Rev. 7 the number sealed is announced to be 144,000.

Daniel 12:1 tells us When Michael stands up there will be a time of trouble such as never was, and all His people are delivered, it’s at this point in history, that the command is given to the seven angels to begin pouring out the seven last plagues on mankind. These plagues will come in rapid succession over I believe a period of no more than a few months time, just as the plagues against the Egyptians were in rapid succession, so will the final 7 be.

As we see in Ezekiel 9, Daniel 12:1, and Rev.4, all these verses are indicating a sealing of God’s people, as judgement is commenced. The standing of Michael in Dan.12:1 and the rising up of the glory of God in Ezekiel are happening just prior to the judgement of the seven last plagues.

In Ezekiel 9, God instructs the destruction of all who does not have the seal of God, which indicates all of humanity, not a localized group.

In conclusion, the verses referenced, in no way indicate a localized pouring out of the 7 last plagues on the earth, but are brought against the entire global community, not having the seal of God. Those not having the seal of God, have rejected the offer of salvation, and are instead following the traditions and practices laid down over the year’s by the little horn beast power, better known as the Roman Catholic system of Religion. Those not having the seal of God,  will continue to follow man’s traditions and politically correct ways, fashions, trends; and as Jesus said in Mark 7:9  9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Those rejecting God’s commandments and instead following man’s traditions, are those which are the worshipers of the image of the beast.
