The Axe Is Laid On The Roots Of The Tree
With great hope and eagerness,
Did the Gardener plant the tree,
Caring and nurturing it every day,
Expecting it fruitful to be.
Yet burdened in His heart was He
For the tree has gone wayward
When it still enjoyed the Masters care,
Its ways were not heavenward
Barren was then it declared
And commanded to be hewn down – even to the roots,
“Let me try for one more year”, pleaded the Gardener
Probably this time it will respond and bear fruits
We are living in this Grace time,
The Lord is showering us with His great love,
Will we care to turn away from our sins now?
And redirect our ways to heaven above?
The axe is laid on the roots of the tree
Faith will decide whether it will or will not sever,
A fruitless tree will be hewn down,
And the fruitful one will blossom forever
Will our fruitful life cherish the Masters heart,
Or will we be burning forever as the fuel in hell
How good we could make of this ‘grace time’
Our final destiny will surely tell.

Yes, we ARE saved by Faith in Jesus', accepting His sacrifice for us because of GRACE. However, to think "it's one move and done" does not match what Jesus describes as a true believer. True faith works, that equals FRUIT. We are expected to bear fruit.
We do NOT get saved by WORKS, But James plainly states, "Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works, BECAUSE faith with no works is dead faith."

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
