As God's ambassadors (2 Corinth.5v.20) we are to represent Him and the King of Kings bringing their terms of peace, bringing reconciliation to alienated parties in a ministry of reconciliation by the Spirit. Think about that word represent, we can express it another way: re-present or present again. Why again? Because so many have a distorted idea of who God is. What God is like, then, must be re-presented. More to the point, God's presence must be re-presented to the world and God's character re-presented in a truer likeness and image to those in our world who need it and whose paths God has privileged us to cross. But to re-present or "re-presence" God accurately to others we must have a fresh experience of God's holy loving Presence ourselves. Just as people can easily tell the difference between fresh bread and stale bread by tasting or even looking in some cases, so readily can people tell the difference between a fresh and a stale experience of God by "tasting" of our words, tone of voice, body language, facial expressions, and associated attitudes.
