The True Joy Of Life

And what is joy but life in Christ,

The satisfaction of life is in Him alone

All else is but nothing but vain glory

For nothing else is of worth before His throne

A life well lived as per His will,

Doing every moment what He does desire,

The keeper of our soul excepts only this from us,

In everything His holiness we should aspire

Not in much we have what the world calls wealth

Is our true estate in heaven known,

For the mortal gains of this mortal world,

Surely has no worth before His throne

But when we shall step in the yonder life

Where everyone shall go for sure one day

None of these mortal gains shall we carry across,

But our true treasures will be the Word and how we did pray

Heaven will welcome no stranger ever,

But them who have lived in it even while here on earth,

For heaven is not the mortal pleasures of this world,

But the Joy of a life in Christ through the new birth.
