After Jesus had gone into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” Jesus answered, “This kind cannot come out, except by prayer.” Mark 9:28-29 NIV

We were created by our maker with the purpose of being a people of prayer. We are limited in the scope of our ability and much in need of the help of God if we are to serve our purpose in life. The realization that we need God at the center of our lives is what He searches for in the heart.

We communicate with God in prayer. We turn to the divine One, knowing that where we are weak, He is strong. Man was not created to be totally self-sufficient. Without God we are destined to fail. Too much in this world is beyond our control. Seeking God for help is not showing weakness. No, instead it shows wisdom. Spend time in prayer with God. Believe and see that which He provides is truly that which is needed.
