I thought of Grandma Ford yesterday. While eating my breakfast of eggs and toast, memories of long ago flooded my mind. It was if I was peering over her shoulder; watching as she fried eggs. How strange; I must have been a little girl when I saw her preparing eggs. There’s no way I looked over her shoulder; yet, I did see her at work.Grandma had bacon grease in her frying pan. I watched as she spooned the sizzling grease over Sunny-side up eggs. I cherish the memory as I perceive a ‘Sunny-side up’ frame of mind. By faith, I can (and should) rise and shine each morning; the light of the Son shines on me.“Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. ‘For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you (Isaiah 60:1-2 NASB).” Yes, upon you; upon me…“The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light, And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, Upon them a Light dawned (Matthew 4:16 NASB).”Rise and shine!
