A Biblical version of the, "Theory of everything"-

My recent contemplations of everything about God, the Bible and the nature of our world, and even theological concepts like pre- destination or Calvinism, has lead me into my own layman's version of something like, "The theory of everything", that Hawkings found himself trying to formulate. lol. Not that I have anything close to the education, brilliance, IQ, or scientific knowledge that Mr. Hawkings had. But I do believe perhaps, that I also DON'T have one thing that he and his theory DID have. That "thing" being the presuppositional black hole of reasoning, that "God doesn't, or God CAN'T exist". After all, if we DO live in a reality that does have a Creator God as part of it, then a theory of "everything", NOT inclusive of such a thing as a God , would be, what's the word? Contradictory, oxymoronic, illogical, non scientific, foolish (Psalm 14:1). In essence, a black hole of reason?

I'm aware that Hawking's theory was more about our physical universe and the laws of physics. But his theory seems to not really consider the non-material parts of the reality of our universe. The parts of our reality that are very real. Things like consciousness, natural law, morality, philosophy, and even math and science itself. These non-material things ARE very much a part of, "everything". And the only real source we have for making any kind of sense of it ALL, (Both material AND non-material) is from that old manual, the Bible. I will also point out that the aparent scientific conundrum, that what is called, "General relativity" and what is called, "quantum field theory", are mutually incompatible with each other. And the science's admitted fact that they BOTH can't be right, might speak to the huge gaps, and misunderstandings of science brought about by secular scientist's presupposition that God can't exist. Perhaps observable physics like Quantum entanglement, or even scientist's problems with the very definition of light speaks to this. (Coincidentally... Jesus calls himself the light of the world?) Not to even mention the parts of physics that are only derived through scientific philosophy like "dark matter", or the existence of at least 7 other dimensions that we can't physically perceive.
I admit that I don't have great knowledge of Hawking's theory, nor do I care much to learn it or study it. Unless someone could show me where Mr. Hawking's theory does leave room for the possibility of there being a God/Creator.

So, here is how my developing theory goes. I guess it could be called, "A theory of everything material AND non-material". It is mostly metaphorical and is not to be taken literally, per se.
It is based upon three conceptual points taken from His Manual or God's Word, The Bible. (His all encompassing instruction manual for mankind.)

Biblical concept #1)
God's Word Says that HE created ALL things for HIS Glory.

Supporting verses:

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
Psalms 19:1‭-‬4 ESV

I admit that I am a bit amazed. I thought it would be a most easy thing, to find verses in the Bible that say outrightly, this fact about "ALL things being created for His Glory". But low and behold, although this concept is most definitely a major theme of the entire Bible, there is very little in directly supporting verses. (Other than the personified and displayed evidence played out by the narrative of the lives of the Biblical characters.) Perhaps this lack of God's Word overtly making that point, is more of an illustrative property of God's character REALLY being quite humble, and NOT at all, "self serving", like some atheist types are quick to charge. This idea that God's exhibited Glory being illustrative of some "noxious" part of God's character, that atheists strangely seem to find comforting.

The following article that I found, goes into great detail about how the Bible actually says, or "messages" to us, that ALL things were created for His Glory. It is well written and well worth reading.

https://www.desiringgod.org/messages/god-created-us-for-his-glory

Biblical concept #2)
God says that ALL people were predestined to live lives for His Glory. And, His Word says that He knew us before we were even knit in our mother's wombs. (He pre- ordained, or predestined ALL of us FOR His Glory.) His Word also says that He has a plan for each and every one of us.

Supporting verses:

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Psalms 139:13‭-‬16 ESV

All things are done according to God’s plan and decision; and God chose us to be his own people in union with Christ because of his own purpose, based on what he had decided from the very beginning.
Ephesians 1:11

We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Biblical concept #3)
His Word says that all have fallen short of His Glory and are in need of the Savior (Jesus Christ).

Supporting verses:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23 KJV

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
John 3:16‭-‬17 ESV

Notice that this famous verse says
"that whoever believes in Him should not perish..." It doesn't at all say that, "the elect", who believe in Him should not perish.

Those three simple concepts, to my mind, can wholly explain our world, or our reality, that we find ourselves in today; As I will illustrate.

Everything that is NOT God, is/are/were things that are/were created by Him,
For HIS Glory. This is what the Bible tells us.
This is number 1 from my list of three Biblical concepts.

It could be said that this Glory (ALL of His Creation) could be laid out in front of us (metaphorically) in the form of a giant jigsaw puzzle. With each and every created person (past, present or future) throughout time, and every created thing throughout time and space, being a perfectly interlocking puzzle piece that fits perfectly with it's adjoining pieces, to form "God's manifest Glory". It would also help us to understand that God sits outside of time and space, so He sees the end from the beginning. And this would explain the perfectly formed manifest Glory, with all of the perfectly fitting, "pre-ordained", (none are "elect") human puzzle pieces, at the onset of His Glorious Creation.

But, to better visualize this whole interlocking puzzle of God's Glory, it should be looked at as this puzzle having a giant ball shape. This shape, to give it a more recognized, and well defined form. We will call this giant ball, "God's Glory ball". (Don't confuse this ball with the earth. It is not the same thing. And to repeat, this "Glory ball", is strictly metaphorical.)

This Glory Ball IS everything that we humans can, right now, in the past and in the future, measure, observe AND experience. It contains some things that we can and did control and manipulate, and other things that we cannot or could not.

Part of God's creation, (a part of the Ball) that we must account for here, is that God through His property of being perfectly loving, gave to us created creatures, the perfectly loving property known as our own free will. This free will is actually what gives to each of us, our own personal, and relational chance to be connected personally with Him and His original design for us as the perfectly, pre- ordained shaped puzzle piece of His perfectly round "Glory ball". Or, we can choose not to relate with Him and continually and severely distort the shape of our personal puzzle piece for right HERE and right NOW and into eternity. I will get much more into this in a bit.

But with this free will being a part of His Glory ball, it became a most necessary part of His Glorious Creation that a part of His Creation may, through its own free will, actually choose NOT to be a part of God's Glory. This is exactly what happened when Lucifer, one of God's created and eternal beings, that resides in the spiritual realm that we humans can't see so much with our limited physical senses, chose to NOT be a part of God's Glory Ball. It is as though Lucifer, and his fellow fallen angels, metaphorically blew the top section of God's Glory ball right off, (When God tossed them away from His glory) and they are now living in a separate, "space", outside of God's Glory ball. They exist on the perimeters of it, now doing all kinds of nefarious, what we would now call, "evil" things that I could get into. (But it's not like I haven't gone into these things constantly in other writings.) It could be even said that the nefarious action of Lucifer presenting the choice to Adam and Eve, to purposely decide to try and be like God... Lucifer's own free willingly chosen goal (By eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) is what gets the subsequent puzzle pieces of ALL of mankind to distort their shape. What we call "sin", could be also looked at, as our use of our gifts , time, talents and all of of our other God given pre- ordained aspects of our distorted puzzle piece to serve Satan (And his false "glory") rather than God's Glory . This all, to keep that misshapen ball "rolling", so to speak. lol.

This all brings forth the following idea, that I will now get into.
I have contemplated and written in the past, my idea that it is the collective, "sin", throughout all of history, causing ALL of mankind's perceived problems.

Sin-
Where mankind had NOT lived up to his created glorious purposes put into them by their Creator. (Fallen short of His Glory). The predestined part of our existence spoken of in number two above.

It is, I think, this collective distortion of our puzzle pieces over time, that is what exactly leads us all to the state of this world that we are in. (The constant increase of chaos, or entropy, physically, spiritually and metaphorically.) The state of all the evil and what we would consider to be the problems with this creation, are all because of the collective distortion of all of those puzzle pieces of God's Glory ball, throughout time. This Glory ball, with it's missing blown off top, is what allows all of the other human pieces in it to become distorted. (To retain the glory ball's perfectly round shape) This distortion sometimes for what we would call good (restoring God's Glory) or sometimes for what we know as evil. (Against God's Glory.) The living pieces of the ball have a natural tendency to distort themselves to restore the ball to it's perfectly round shape. This is in fact, to my theory, the naturally born evil, or sinfulness that the Bible tells us that we are ALL born with. After all, a piece that isn't the exact shape that God originally created us to be in, is in fact "falling short of His Glory".

Now, enter part three of the theory.
This is the part where God restores His Glory that works through us, distorted mankind, by using His Power of the Holy Spirit to reshape our puzzle pieces, by infilling us.
Here's a verse that supports this "filling" :

But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore it says, "When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men." (In saying, "He ascended," what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Ephesians 4:6-10 ESV

It is a glorious thing when we decide by faith to let His Holy Spirit infill us to work back towards our original, pre-ordained, "shape", in His Glory ball... when we accept Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior.
That is the, "one way", that God's Glory ball, retains it's perfect roundness. That IS The, "Good News", or the message of the Gospel.

Or else, God uses His Spirit to fill in the gaps, this filling probably brought about often times, by the prayer of the believers. This fills in the gaps left between the parts of His Creation that have, through their own free will, chosen to NOT reflect His eternal Glory, and have, or will ultimately, go off to that eternal place outside of God's Glory Ball. (The eternal separation from Him, the Bible calls it.) It is interesting that the torment and eternal fire spoken of in the Bible is usually mentioned also with the words contempt, shame or lament, or darkness, (The absence of light, or a "worm that won't die".)

Now there you have it. Doug's Biblical theory of everything. (Did I mention that I have a boring day job? Lol) This is a theory that also takes into account, and explains all things non-material. A theory that accounts for sin, good, evil, redemprion/restoration, creation, pre-destination, the state of our world, the purpose for us being here, and ultimately, God's Glory (That IS, "everything").

The Biblical narrative/idea/belief of the Lord coming back, in ALL of His Glory, and the resultant restoration of a new Heaven, new Earth and a New, restored US as well, seems to greatly support my theory.

You can take this theory and couple it with a five dollar bill and rush them over to your local coffee house... and it just MAY buy you a cup of coffee to wake you back up.
Or better yet, and much more Gloriously, you could free willingly choose to use God's Grace-filled, "puzzle piece restorer", and get yourself back into your pre ordained puzzle piece shape... for HIS Glory.
There is nothing metaphorical at all about that glorious reality.
