Grandpa, what happened to make America stop being America ?

Well, son, you might say we fell asleep at the wheel.

So then America had a wreck, Grandpa?

Yes, but it didn’t happen all at once or in one instant like a car wreck. No, it happened little by little, as if in slow motion kinda.

But, Grandpa, a car can be repaired, unless it was totaled. Was America totaled?

We will see about that, son. It’s still to be determined. You might say, for right now anyway, America is still in the shop
