As believers in Christ, commitment to God should come easy to us, but sometimes we may over commit to things and become drained.  We lose sight of our most important commitment; God.  We may be doing things for Him, such as teaching or preaching, but we may not realize we are depleting our time and energy.  When we have too much going on in our lives, we can lose track of where we are in our walk with God. We may not realize we need replenishing, sometimes until it is too late.  When we keep our eyes on God, He promises to renew our strength.

but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.  (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)

When we realize we need replenishing with the strength of God, we can renew our commitment to Him by starting from where we are.  God is not mad at us for losing sight of His will.  He’s waiting with open arms to recharge us.  We can do that by slowing down and seeking Him first.  When we seek God, we are taking our focus off ourselves and concentrating on Him.  Spending alone time with God can replenish our spirits.

We need to put our focus back on God by slowing down and listening to what He says.  He will always replenish us in any area of our lives.  We might be surprised at what we can accomplish if we take time to focus more on God.
