Have you ever experienced the pain associated with someone rejecting your love? If you have experienced such a crisis, you will understand somewhat the trial that Hosea was called upon to suffer, in order for God to reach his broken people Israel. Through Hosea's experience, God expresses his great love for the children of God and the pain that it causes him when his people choose to depart from him.

 Hosea's story had a happy ending as he and his wife were eventually restored into a sound relationship. In like manner, as God must allow his children to suffer the consequences of the disobedience for a time, the good news is he has the restoration in mind. Once again, we are reminded through the experience of Hosea that God is always a good God despite the way we may choose to treat him
