The Day Never Really Ends

The clock may strike twelve
On the dot of midnight
But the day never really ends
It continues and stays on in our mind and heart.

The year might get over
On the last day of the twelfth month
But the past years are still visible in our eyes
In the love which remains as the glamorous shine of decades.

The road might reach its end
Or turn at the forks en route
But in reality the road we travelled upon
Never really ends in our senses.

The steps we visually climb at times
Will lead to the top of the landing
But the staircase that we climb in life
Is a non-ending flight of stairs to our dreams.

A movie in the theatre will run
It’s slotted hours to show the story
But the real story of our life is greater
An endless one unlike the reel one.

The rain pours down in schedule
As per the seasons of clouds and wind
But the emotions that prevail in our heart
Is a never stopping rain in force all year.

A walk through any given lane
Will reach its last point until there
But when hearts walk together
No lane or by-lane walk can match its pace.

A meeting will commence and finish
According to the itinerary time
But a date in time is that meeting
Which can virtually never end in our heart.

A shown gesture may be for a special moment
In that hour and chosen place
But the true depth of this action
Fills us forever with an un-ceasing joy and love so immense.

The things that never end in life
Are the very things that give us life.
These are like eternal blessings from above
Which has begun to shower on us in advance
To be enjoyed for all the ten thousand years to come.
