I Held That Moment In My Eyes

I held that Moment in my eyes
For I knew the moment
Would not last for long.
To keep it forever
Kept it in the screen of my eyes.

I held that Road in my eyes
For I knew the journey
Would be only for the measured stretch.
To hold the travel forever
Kept it in the eyes of my mind.

I held that Flower in my eyes
For I knew this exact one would not bloom
The next day or next season.
To keep it forever
Kept its lovely sight in my gaze.

I held that Joy in my eyes
For I knew that happiness
Comes and goes too fast.
To keep it forever
Kept it in a glad corner of my eyes.

I held that Pain in my eyes
For I knew that the sadness of longing
Can be hidden best in the eyes.
To keep this emotion in check
Kept it in the white coating of my tears.

I held that Memory in my eyes
For I knew that yesterday's events
Can still continue to live on.
To carry it forever within me
Kept the happy scene before my eyes.

I held that Glance in my eyes
For I knew that as long as eyes meet
We can behold the feelings of others.
To keep this eye merger always up front
I held this delicate contact within my eyes.

I held that Love in my eyes
For I knew that this is the strongest
A feeling above every other in the world.
To hold it forever in my heart and soul
Kept this love alive and vibrant in my eyes.

I held that Tomorrow in my eyes
For I knew that as soon as Today will end
The next day will take charge in priority
To keep the hope of this oncoming day alive
I kept the sweetness of Tomorrow in the sparkle of my eyes.

Wonderful array of observations both spiritual and physical, in the moment and in memory. Superior work!
