I thought my world
Was coming to an end
I had lost hope
And knew I was doomed
I knew of nothing in this world
Could save me now
But that’s what I get
When I assume.

With little faith
I knew of no other way out
So I decided
To give God a try
I cannot believe
I didn’t do this before
And now
I just ask myself why.

I was troubled by serious
Financial problems
My job
Seemed more than I could bear
My family life
Was falling apart
I felt like
Pulling out my hair.

One day I was sitting
Alone with my wife
I asked her
To kneel with me and pray
Up until now
I failed
At everything I tried
Because I’ve always
Had to try my way.

Each morning my wife
And I would pray
Things began changing
In all aspects of our life
I found strength
Whenever we prayed together
It even strengthened
The bond with my wife.
