We Have Been Called…

We have been called to stay strong

To walk boldly in the sun and the snow,

We have been called to always be holy,

Our faces shining with Godly glow

We have been called to this world,

To walk and make known the way of eternity,

We have been called to remain faithful to God,

And live to our utmost piety

We have been called to love and forgive,

Always to care and to share,

We have been called to be ever hopeful,

Even in the midst of deep despair,

We have been called with a higher calling,

A Royal Priesthood and a holy nation,

Not to worry about tomorrow,

Depending on God alone for our daily portion

We have been called ‘the salt’ and ‘the light’

That brings taste and glory to the Master above

We have been called to pray for our persecutors,

And always to be driven by Godly love.

We are special, we are His own,

Redeemed by His blood and justified by His resurrection,

We are the children of the living God,

Called with a special calling and blessed election.
