Knowledge, Love, and Wisdom

We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. But whoever loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:1b-3 NIV

Have you ever noticed that with the gaining of knowledge often comes an inflated head? I must confess that on occasion this has happened to me. One with an inflated head pursues more knowledge, believing it brings true wisdom to them. However, true wisdom only comes to us through God. We need to get that chip off our shoulder and boast of knowledge provided by God for the advancement of the kingdom. Wisdom is found in knowing the love of God, a love which is meant to be shared. If we belong to God, then receive wisdom from Him, a wisdom which the world does not recognize. May you come to know through the indwelling Holy Spirit that which is truly wisdom.
