I Will Wake Up The Sun

I will wake up the Sun
Rouse it with an excited tap
To get up and show its light
So that I can switch on a new day.

I will wake up the Sun
To have its warm say
So that I can hurry on my way
To meet my King of all days. 

I will wake up the Sun
To rush in full glad clad steps
To spend time before the Holy Sacrament
Speak to my Lord in a private chat.

I will wake up the Sun
To feed me with its energy
Not from its yellow rays
But the Son's rays from His divine pierced heart.

I will wake up the Sun
To dance it’s morning tune
For the brightest polished song
At what joy each day awaits us to give.

I will wake up the Sun
Much before the morning time
Cause I can hardly wait to live my life
Continue on the dreams of night.

I will wake up the Sun
Every mile a cheerful one
Just as Our Lady made the trip
To proclaim her Magnificat with joyful lips.

I will wake up the Sun
To be all over the country side
Overflowing in full delight
Heating earth with Heaven's hot blessing.

I will wake up the Sun
So that I can in turn wake up the world
To speak of the message of Christ
So that no day is lost in the work of the Saviour.

I will wake up the Sun
To praise and worship it’s Creator
He who made it to rule over the day
Until it’s sweetheart, the Moon appears at night.

I will wake up the Sun
Wave at it from the ground below
Ask it to transmit a cosmic message
To the realms above where my Lord stays.

I will wake up the Sun
To relate all the daily miracles
God has performed from the skies
The life he regenerates within my being
To make me as whole and healthy as His Son.

I will wake up the Sun
So that once awakened
All the rest on earth will also awake
To Pray to the True and Risen Son
Whose Glorious Face shines upon us
He who never ever slumbers but is always awake.
