None will care about our non-existing will

Recently I heard about the death of a man

Unknown and unpopular to the world was he

Considering his age and the span he lived

105 was the total to be

Yet another man died of a similar age,

And he was known as a Gospel singer,

Truly he used his God given talents,

And to many he was a real joy bringer

Time soon elapses and the years pass by,

We may stay a little longer or may soon depart saying ‘Good bye’

It is not in the lengthiness or brevity of life that matters

Yet what did we do with what God provided us in life’s platter

Did we live for God? Did we please His soul?

Was the plans of our life aligned to God’s goal?

Was He pleased with all we did on the earth?

Did we receive the blessed new birth?

One day this journey will come to an end,

And all we could do is but lie down still,

Loved ones will lift our body to which we belonged,

None will care about our non-existing will

The tenure for our will and desire will cease

Did we chose to do right or were we in sin freeze?

The destiny of the soul will be decided by this life’s race,

And the grave is the body’s only perfect place

Dust we are and to dust we shall return,

This body is worth no more than this

Alas our immortal soul! Where shall it go?

Oh the eternal bliss! Will this we miss?

O may it not be that what’s given in life’s platter,

Be misused, demeaned and be wasted away,

Let’s live for God and in His perfect will ever,

Eternal heavenly abode shall be our sure stay.
