The Promptings Of The Holy Spirit

How often in life have we felt the promptings of the Holy Spirit?
That soft and inner voice, barely audible but yet giving us a sure and strong pull to attempt something.
We may have experienced it in many different ways.
When we read the Scriptures or even books on Saints, we might have felt the same attraction to Christ like they did.
The Word of God is truly God's voice himself, distinct and clear.
Also when we receive the Body and Blood of Christ we should visualize and feel the full presence of Jesus within our being as if we were standing in front of him and we are receiving him into our hearts.
When we wish someone and tell them, “God be with you”.
It is not mere words but we should be able to envision God really walking beside that person and being around to truly protect, care and tend.

The Holy Spirit never fails to bring tears of happiness to our eyes.
And these are special tears from Heaven.
If we look into our hearts and introspect as to how many people actually bring tears to our eyes when we remember them and moments shared with them.
These are the promptings of the Spirit from the soul that has this magnetic pull and connection towards those people whom we share a special connect with.
When in their presence, our heart gets literally over flooded with the strongest emotions that we have ever known, something new and something felt before.

Likewise, even when we feel the presence of God close to us, we are so pulled to being in his close proximity, by just spending time with Him in front of the Tabernacle where He can see us and speak silently to our hearts. We love to gaze at Him and feel His radiance shine upon our faces.
At other times, He may sometimes reach out physically through others to give us that physical touch and embrace when we are saddened by the trials of life.
It may be a word of true care, emotional support and an uplifting hug.
These all come from the Spirit that motivates others to reach out to us .

We can experience the power of the Spirit even from afar by watching the Eucharist being celebrated by the Head of the Church and other Priests and Bishops. As they bless us with a blessing straight from heaven on behalf of Christ himself as His representative.
The Holy Spirit can move faster than light and wind. At times, even before we have begun a good work, the Holy Spirit brings it to completion and hands it over to us all ready made. Or it could be that we are in the process of contacting a friend for a spiritual work or link and even before we can go through with it, that very same person contacts us with the link and spiritual work that we needed from their end. This is not just telepathy but Heaven’s playpathy and rolepathy.

We read in 1 Corinthians 3:16’ “Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?”
Our Body is our Main Companion in Life from the moment of our Birth until our very end. In this very Body, the Spirit dwells or rather it is the Spirit that gives life to the Body.
May we ever pay close and never delaying attention to the Holy Spirit within our hearts and souls when it prompts us to go and dare for Christ, to fulfill his work and be spiritually in union both with Him and our fellow Christians from whatever walk of life but all who bear the Mark of the Spirit in One True Baptism in Jesus Christ. We should also strive to take Jesus to those who do not know Him yet.
We are never alone in any work that we undertake for the Kingdom because the Spirit within us is enough to equip us with the Armour of Grace and Love to win a fruitful Victory.

Maria Franco.

Beautiful prose about a subject that alludes most people's understanding. This will help that understanding.

How blessed to be prompted and directed by the Holy Spirit, indwelling us each day. Very nice share. Thank you and God bless you!
