Lord God,

I pray for the prisoners in our society,

I thank you that no matter what these people have done in the past,

Or how helpless their situation may be now,

They can still find forgiveness,

And that Christ came to die for,

Even those in our prisons who have committed the worst crimes,

Please teach the prisoners in our society of the great hope,

That through Jesus they can be changed and find new life,

Please be sending out workers into all the prisons,

Equip them to show your love and preach the gospel,

To those who have not yet heard it in these places,

Please open the hearts of these prisoners,

And convict them of their need for Jesus and the truth of the gospel,

Lead them to repent of their sins and receive Christ through faith,

And I pray that as prisoners come to believe in Jesus,

You would use them too to witness and tell others about the good news.
