Lord God,

I thank you for all the people who live in my neighbourhood,

Please fill my heart with love for all of my neighbours,

And help me to keep finding ways to connect to them,

Whether it’s taking the time to talk with them and get to know them,

Or occasionally giving them food or gifts,

Or inviting them into my home,

Or even just offering to help them with different tasks and chores,

But I pray especially for those of my neighbours who don’t yet know you,

Please continue to make your love and saving power known throughout my neighbourhood,

Help me to live a godly life that will be a witness to others living around me,

And grant me opportunities to have gospel conversations,

Or to invite my neighbours to come to church with me,

Open their hearts that they would be willing to hear about Jesus,

And please convict them of their need for him,

So that they would come to receive Jesus through faith.
