Power of Prayer
Free to Share
We all know the importance of prayer as a christian, its not just having questions answered but also building a relationship with God. It’s praying for those you love, praying for strangers, thanking God for all the blessings he gives you. Seeking answers to your faith lifting that doubt you once had from your heart. Just like you I have prayed for many things and I know some people struggle when their prayers are not answered right away. But I have learned that God gives you the answers at the right time when you can respond in the best way possible. Because sometimes if he gives the answer right away you could make the wrong choice that could affect your life at that very moment. I had a prayer like that and I am glad God gave me the answer when I could handle it the best way possible. When my mind was clear and my emotions were in check. But there are a couple of prayers were he gave the answer right away because who knew how much I needed it. The first one was dealing with my faith now being an ex-jehovah witness I was taught that only a few would go to heaven. I wanted to know if that teaching was true or if those who believe in christ that have died will go to heaven and not just a certain few but all. So in prayer I asked God if my grandma is with you let her know how much I miss her and that I haven’t seen my cousins for a couple of years and just wanted to know how they were doing. The next day I was at walmart doing some shopping when two of my cousins walked in the doors of walmart and stopped and chatted with me. My mind was blown because my prayer was answered and now i know the answer to that question I have been struggling with. The second one was again I was at walmart when I saw my aunt and uncle and at first I thought they saw me and were avoiding me and after everything with my parents I was hurting real bad and could hardly keep my composure at walmart. When I got home I broke down in prayer to God about how I was feeling and he knew how much I was hurting. What I didn’t know was that he knew my aunt and uncle did not see me at walmart or realized I was there, but the next day my aunt got this feeling that she needed to contact me. Now after everything that had happened with my parents and her when my grandma had passed away she told her family she wanted nothing to do with her side of the family so when she was begging my cousins to find a way to contact me they were surprised. But she kept saying I need to contact her I need to talk to her so luckily I had one of my cousins on facebook and he was able to get a message to me with her number in it so I could contact her. We wound up going to their home that day where they got to meet my lil guy for the first time and have been in our lives ever since. I thank God for answering my prayers because without those answers my faith wouldn’t be where it is at today, my aunt uncle and cousins may have not known how much I missed them and wanted them in my life, I wouldn’t be with my husband or even have my beautiful little boy. So when your down or upset that God hasn’t answered your prayers just know that he will at the right time.
