I count my bevy of blessed stars
Someone like You could want someone like me
Oh, how can You love a sinner such as I
So faithfully, tenderly, watching me…?
I won’t lie to You, LORD—
Sometimes I succumb unto sin
And if I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t have employed it
But look at the state it leaves me in…
Even though, my Redeemer
You rebuke me when I’m bad
I am corrected by my Creator’s hand
And after that my heart gone astray feels glad…
So sorry that I wound You with my words sometimes
So sorry that I grieve Your Spirit
And I guess I feel guilty even while I am sinning
For my heart isn’t really in it…
Yes, I still sin at times
But my whole life isn’t characterized by it
Now that Your Spirit is hidden in my heart
I can say no to sin and win it…
So, thank You for making me the man that I am
For turning a psycho into a saint
For saying I am holy now
Better not never, just late…
Yes, you are the God of my fathers
Yes, You are a gracious God
Full of love and life and liberty
Your freedom is not a fraud…
And my zeal for You is personal…passionate
My love for You knows no depths
As You walk with me through this wearisome world
You’ll even hold my hand in death…
And on that dearest day I meet You
Yes, meet You face to Face
I will know as I also am known
I will actually look upon the Author of grace…
Oh, how I love You, LORD
As I have never loved anyone before
So, I surrender my entire soul to You
Yes, I let You be my all in all…
Blessings and praises shall adorn my lips
Yes, I will praise You the rest of my days
Constantly…continuously
I will magnify Your holy name…
