Who Is Against Us?

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 NIV

Who stands against us? Those who belong to this world. Those who have no place in their life for God. What power though have they over us? They only have the power of the things of this world. The most that they can take from us is our earthly lives. They have no power over our eternal destiny. They can only at best confine our mortal body to the grave. Our souls though belong to the Lord. If God is for us, then no one can stand against us in the eternal realm. We shall live forever in the presence of God. While those who are of this world shall spend eternity in torment, we shall spend eternity glorified with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nothing this world can offer us in the here and now can remotely compare to eternity spent in the presence of God.
