I will lean on you
On the stretch of life
To take inner strength 
From the power in your heart.

I will lean on you
To share on your shoulder
The joys that are not just mine
But given by you to me.

I will lean on you
To whisper my silent prayer
So that it reaches your ears only
To be heard and granted by you.

I will lean on you
To receive that special healing
That your hand can only offer
When I come to be the closest to you.

I will lean on you
To look up in an eye to eye contact
When my eyes cannot hold the happy tears
That flow down in your presence.

I will lean on you
So that I can be held by you
To be there for you and you for me
Relying on the love that we give and take.

I will lean on you
For you are the King of my heart
Your throne from a generation start
Was always deep in my heart.

I will lean on you
Sovereign King of  All
As one of your chosen people
To worship in timeless years
Christ the King for ages gone
Ages to come and the present one.
