What do we want to tell the Lord
of with his tell-him-phone
What's the request we want to ask
while setting there alone

He is waiting by to take the call
and the line is open and free
So dial his private number, J-E-S-U-S
and just say, 'O Lord it's me

On his phone line it's no call waiting
he'll be there before you fall
so just stay close to receive the answer
for he's our Savior, after all

There are no blocks on his phone
and you always can get through
So we can stay, in touch with him
this promise was made for you

Don't worry about of the minute counts
no long distance on this line
So use it when you want, it's in your reach
and up to you who makes the time

Now keep your ringer heart on, dusk to dawn
and the line clear so you can hear
So don't let the connection, be cut off
for the Lord he is very near

He tells us to keep his number at hand
and it's the best thing to do
Now get out of, your tell-him-phone
and he will get back to you
