YWAM requires that their disciples raise their own support. I read a story about YWAM in one of their books. There was meeting where the missionary was raising their support. One person in the group was praying and praying for the completion of his support. He received the final donation and was elated that God had provided. Then God told him that the last amount given was not for him to use but for him to give to another. I don’t know what happened after that except that he was obedient and gave away that support. Did God bless him with signs and wonders in his ministry because he was obedient? I don’t know. But I do know that God was pleased with his obedience. God’s ways and God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and our ways. Sometime we are given something to be generously passed on to someone. Sowing requires faith and should be done in secret. I find it is hard to always be on top of things IE victoriously. But there are little things in our life that God asks to do. It may be small, unseen, unimportant to others but if God is aware of it, it does not go unnoticed. Isn’t that what matters?
