What Exactly Is Holiness ?
Let us begin with what it's not.
Holy is not determined by the color of your hair. Green, pink, blonde or black does not, cannot and will never make you Holy or make you un-Holy. Neither can what you wear, eat or drink. Make-up, no make-up, natural or chemically altered hair. Long hair, short hair, whether worn up or down makes absolutely no difference either. Jewelry no jewelry... These things, in and of themselves, do not determine Holiness and The Father has already spoken His Heart on these matters in Ezekiel (and elsewhere) in His Word.
Ezekiel wrote:
“Then another message came to me from the Lord:
I gave you expensive clothing of fine linen and silk, beautifully embroidered, and sandals made of fine goatskin leather. I gave you lovely jewelry, bracelets, beautiful necklaces, a ring for your nose, earrings for your ears, and a lovely crown for your head. And so you were adorned with gold and silver. Your clothes were made of fine linen and costly fabric and were beautifully embroidered. You ate the finest foods—choice flour, honey, and olive oil—and became more beautiful than ever. You looked like a queen, and so you were! Your fame soon spread throughout the world because of your beauty. I dressed you in My splendor and perfected your beauty, says the Sovereign Lord.”

Holiness is a heart condition !
Holiness is birthed and developed by spending time in the Word of God and by continuing in Abba's (Father God's) Presence, Living what is written within the pages of the Bible.
Holiness is walking out your Fellowship with The Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Holiness is Faith expressing itself in Love. Holiness is a pure heart before God and man. Holiness is a heart exempt from hate, unforgiveness, slander, idolatry, human effort and human reasoning. Holiness is a heart surrendered to the Lordship of Christ.
The Bible puts it like this: "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
Color comes from the Father. All varieties of foods and wine come from the Father. Clothing styles and every genre of music comes from within the Father.
Yes, I said wine. The Bible clearly states that drinking is permitted by the Lord. I'll provide three scriptures but my admonition is to read the entire Bible yourself for all the rest.
1. “But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the LORD your God chooses to put His Name is too far from you, when the LORD your God has Blessed you, then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses. And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.”
•Deuteronomy 14:24-26 NKJV
2. “Go, eat your bread with joy, And drink your wine with a merry heart; For God has already accepted your works.”
•Ecclesiastes 9:7 NKJV
3. “Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!””
•John 2:7-10 NKJV
Having a glass or two is extremely different to being drunk. Eating is very different from over-eating and being wealthy is grossly different from loving and idolizing money. The Bible mandates Freedom in Christ (Colossians 2:20-23). The Bible also adamantly condemns the extremes of drunkenness, gluttony and idolatry and other manifestations of the flesh/sinful nature (1 Peter 2:16)
It is imperative that we derive our beliefs and standards from the Bible rather than from our own opinions or religious teachings we've heard, even when we've heard them from well intentioned men and women of God. We MUST intimately know and live the Word of God for ourselves. Personally, I do not drink but it's always been my choice not to.
It is not sin to drink and it is not Holy to abstain.
I leave you with this:
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the Glory of God.”
