Proverbs 14:10 NLT

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can fully share its joy.

I believe no one else can truly appreciate how another person feels.  Feelings - pain, joy, mirth, fear, grief, etc. - are so personal and acute. They are something we can only share completely with God.  He is the only one who fully understands you and your feelings.  Your heart was created by Him and He alone can accurately appreciate what is going on inside of you. Many times we want others to celebrate with us or give us solace or commiserate with us, but they truly cannot.  When we begin to understand that we were never designed to rely on man, we will find ourselves searching more for God.  Until we get to this place, we will be repeatedly disappointed.  We put unbearable pressure on others, and on ourselves, when we erroneously believe man can help.  Vain is the help of man.  God warned us not to trust in others or ourselves - are we listening?  Are you trying to find in man what can only be found in God?  Open your heart to the Creator of the heart.  He is longing for you to draw near to Him.   As you draw near, you will feel His presence.  If you ignore Him, you will feel lonely regardless your position, but I believe that is also part of God's plan.  When you experience this loneliness, you can see it as an indicator telling you to turn to God.  He is there.  He has never left you.  He readily receives and comforts.  He will share your joy, He will heal your broken heart, He will calm your fear  because man cannot.

This article explains a truth that I am finally beginning to understand. I cannot expect people to fully understand me, nor can I fully understand other people. Only God knows everything about how he created us and what we have experienced in life that makes us who we are at this point in time. Busyness in life keeps us from communicating with the only one who knows us better than we know ourselves.
