“Do you know that humans like in the animal kingdom do not really need to daily take a bath? All we need do is wipe the essential parts and put some fragrance all over and we are good to go.”

This statement in a discussion set me thinking about humanity and how things have degenerated to what we see today (Romans 1:26-32 (KJV)), subtle innuendos, others quite obvious but they all point at the grip of satan on the heart and mind of man! The enslavement is at the mind level.

A man looks and thinks that he has arrived at an intellectual conclusion which will be beneficial to (not just him!) all mankind. He continually tells it to himself and others who care to listen; God help if he has a mass (ive) platform to ‘preach’ such erroneous beliefs and gather followership in the millions (social media connection, for instance…) as long as this is in REPLAY mode without a pause, it ‘turns’ to a truth and conviction!

Eve looked and saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, Genesis 3:1-6(KJV). The devil’s subtle suggestions and man’s egoistic tendency to promote self above God came to the fore and thus began a repetitive pattern of promulgating all sorts of ideas and selling it as the truth.

Matthew 4:1-11(NKJV) reveals that the devil has no boundaries at his cunningness and who he attempts to attack. Just like in the case of Eve, he suggests to a person at his mind level and nicely packages the thought and ‘object’ and the rest is left to the ‘prey’. Man convinces himself of things that are not biblical, that are not even morally sensible but he sums up logical reasons to back his ‘intelligent’ summations.

Medical science encourages daily showers. Do we need to be told? From experience; a good scrub, starts a person’s day with a rejuvenated blood circulation boosting the immune system, relief for tensed muscles, takes care of/drains out toxins and limits topical bacterial/fungal attacks on the skin and removing dead skin cells in the same breath, most importantly, the look after a good bath is always FRESH. This is a natural cleansing process within and without, opening up the pores to receive oxygen into the body. NOT TO FORGET A SQUEAKY CLEAN SKIN!

Because of the failings of the flesh God has advised(Proverbs 3:5-8) that we seek Him in ALL situations so as to avoid falling into the trap of the evil one that roams around looking for whom to devour because in the power of the flesh alone, man cannot confront this evil force.
